I have always worked in Children's ministry as an adult, from nursery through college age. I was a bit older when God rocked my world by opening my eyes to Missions. I have been privileged to lead trips and send interns around the world as well as settle refugees in the US. My ultimate dream is to blend youth and missions. How amazing would it be to have children realize that they can be a part of the Great Commission? They can tell people about Jesus!
I am married to my college sweetheart, Scott, and we have 3 adult daughters, each with new babies this year! Though I certainly don't feel old enough to be a Grandma, I am loving holding all these babies! (And going home after a few days.) I certainly felt the pressure to pass on my knowledge of Christ's word to them as they were growing

Though I certainly don't feel old enough to be a Grandma, I am loving holding all these babies! (And going home after a few days.) I certainly felt the pressure to pass on my knowledge of Christ's word to them as they were growing up. I'm not sure I did a great job. I was so busy "doing" Christian things that I'm not sure I really sat and had great conversations, or encouraged them to ask good questions until they were much older than they should have been. I did pick great Christian mentors for each girl, and to them I am forever grateful. I hope that writing books for younger children can help parents start basic conversations about faith. And maybe we can build from there!
